Louroe AP-1TB base stations intercoms

Postby RPSGT88athome » Sat Oct 27, 2012 3:59 am

I want to buy the older AP-1TB intercom base station units. The black ones. I don't care if they are junk and not working because I'll send them back to the factory and have everything replaced. I just prefer to use those old units because they sound much better than the newer ones and I like the control buttons.

Please PM if you have any.

Thanks

Not those specific models. The replacement model was silver and had an inferior speaker, narrower frequency response and problematic pushbutton controls. The newest one is very similar to the old black one but its frequency response specs are exactly like the silver model.

Louroe will repair all the old black ones I can send to them so thats been the plan for a long time. My techs hate the silver units.

I've been buying the old black ones off ebay for $10 each but they are not listed that often and right now I need 3 more.

the newest ones from Louroe are white plastic - not as good as even the silver ones. we have issues with squelch (sp) between the 2 units i too close together. We were told that the Tsumani wiped out factoryy, is why the metal ones are no longer available.

dreamwatcher, what exactly did they say? Their distribution center is in Van Nuys CA but they have multiple manufacturers.
