DME priced masks for sleep lab??

Postby karenL » Wed Jul 27, 2016 3:16 am

Hi,
Our purchasing guy tried to put in a mask order with Respironics for the lab. He was told that the "Sleep VIP" progam has been suspended. He said the masks are DME priced now. Has anyone else run into that? I asked him to contact ResMed and inquire about any changes in their pricing. That will put a kink in the system for those labs who give the masks to the patients.

We haven't run into that. What does your rep say about that?

He hasn't responded yet. However I did get more info this morning from them when I called directly. It is "suspended" not discontinued. They are planning on bringing it back posibly with changes. For now it is full price however. I'll update when our rep responds

My rep said yesterday that the program was on hold pending review. The masks are not DME priced per say - but you can only order them if you have a DME account and at DME pricing. We for example only have a sleep lab account as we do not dispense DME, so we can't order them at all. My rep said she had thought she would hear good news about this earlier, but has not yet. She said she will notify me as soon as it is back up - so as I haven't heard anything yet, I have to assume they don't know when it will be available again yet.
