Interviewing New Graduates

Postby epj1968 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 7:36 pm

Hello, when any of you are interviewing new PSG Grads, do you incorporate some form of competency to gauge their overall skills in hookup process, scoring, knowledge of the different PAP Titrations, etc.? If so, what do you do have the job candidate do?

I give them a glass head, a disposable paper measurement tape, a red marker and 40 minutes.

Murcielago,
How do you grade the exercise?

NJDevil,
Do you invite them to join as Temp and let them take the latest ISR? What ISR value do you us, may I ask?

I was always instructed that the method of assessing a candidate had to be objective and the standard for scoring it established and objective, such that it could withstand a legal challenge.

Somno,

Yes, they sign on as Temp and they take the latest.....passing grade of 85% is expected but of course it is only one part of interview process.

Yeah. go with the ISR and a plastic head. Objective or not, that is what we do and they need to be competent. We even have RPSGTs do the ISR.
