has anyone had a pt in the sleep center have reaction to ambien? pt was alert after taking ambien for the first time but had strange eyemovements, and flailing around in bed.

Haven't seen that in our lab, but that kind of activity is what has been reported for some people using Ambien. I hope that y'all are using the 5mg dose, and NOT the CR.

turns out the attending staff asked the patient some more questions and his strange behavior is his typical behavior . had nothing to do with his first time use of ambien in the sleep center. thanks for the comments and concern

Hahahahhaha, isn't that funny. We frequently jump to that conclusion about a lot of things, only to find out it is "normal" behavior for that person.
