Took a quick survey of my kids
son 20yo college, used a pay phone once or twice in his life so far
daughter 15yo HS, used a pay phone once
daughter 12yo, MS, never used a pay phone, not even sure how it works.

So, a 20 yo knows what a pay phone is, but the ones to be coming down the pike are losing the reference quickly.

"down the pike"
I talk in euphemisms.

Ahh yes...pay phones and kids.

BTW my 18 year old daughter just got her driver's license at NCDMV and signed up there to vote (Motor Voter Registration). She registered as a Republican. What a good girl! Warms my heart!

Proved my point, people old enough to be practicing sleep technology are old enough to remember pay phones hehe

Yes, and you can thank the Progressives and the ACLU and ACORN for pushing to have Motor Vehicle Voter Registration.
Just saying, The Republicans would rather everyone stay home and only the Oligarchy run things.

Ohh Somno...I wrote that for your amusement!

And she registered Republican of her own free will! I did not even ask her to do it. That must really hurt, Somno.

Democratic party has fought for your (and her) right to vote, her right to choose her party, her right to hold office, her right to drive, her right to work, her right to comparable wages for her work, her right to not give birth if she so wants, her right to serve in the front lines for our country, yes and ever HER right to choose the political party that wants to keep all of these rights away from her. Sometime, you can't unlearn the stupid.

I thought it was an assist in basketball terms.

Pay phones were a dime?

Dropping a dime, is ratting out a criminal. So, in the basketball sense, dropping a dime is an assist. Where an assist is helping a teammate with a "score". Score as in the criminal sense.
