I mean, I shouldn't have put a price on what I seek (low balled myself), lol... i was just being a desperate attention whore and needed reassurance that FL average pay isn't as bad as I've heard.

I'm certainly looking to relocate there, though. I'm highly motivated to get the ball rolling now that the feedback I got wasn't terrible.

I was paid per diem for 2 years until a slot opened up and got first dibs due to my works consistency. Hospital Labs looks for dedicated staff w/ not only 3+ rpsgt experience, but you will be tested on those experience on how well you conduct diagnostic and therapeutic studies + bedside manor.

We are CPSGT's in the panhandle....one rural city is 14.00 and hour and a city near the beach is 16.00. RPSGT's are rumored to be mid 20's

This sounds on par with what most of the labs in Texas around my area pay. This makes me wonder if this is about right with the other Southern states? I would expect higher salary ranges in Northern states because the cost of living is higher, but this is pretty accurate pay for CPSGT vs. RPSGT.

I'd be in for that, but I heard your cost of living is a lot higher than over here.

Yeah you're right.
I'm embarrassed about what I make because it seems over there you're grossly underpaid!!!

NYC RPSGT

Postby MarcSpade » Fri Jul 26, 2013 10:20 am

Hi all.

Looking at other rates for RPSGTs in NYC for some perspective. I'm working some Brooklyn labs at a rate of $20 per hour.

Also, anyone have any light or experience to shed on overtime?

I work 60-72 hours a week sometimes without seeing a cent of OT.

thanks

Wow, my best friend lives in Brooklyn and she has been trying to get me to move there. When I voice my concern about the cost of living, she has told me many times "but it pays so much better here." :?

I forgot to mention that I've been looking at current salary averages in my area, and most places offer a range of $16-$25/hr for RPSGT. Obviously the more years experience you have the more you'll make. I'm not sure what the salary range is like in the metro areas like Dallas/Fort Worth. One lab I worked for was located in a rural area and the salary range for RPSGT was lower, about $14-22/hour, while the labs located in the city offered $16-$25 (both also offered night shift diff).
