Sandman + Pursuit Outcomes + HL7 interface = ?

Postby slowdavesleep » Thu Aug 28, 2008 10:13 pm

Anyone using Sandman with the Pursuit outcomes database? Anyone have that set up linked to a hospital EPR/EMR? How does it work for you? Inquiring minds want to know.

I was kind of (extremely) disapointed to find out Sandman had no HL7 interface.

Also the interface between Braebon's database and these sleep systems seems very clunky too. I wonder why they can't get licensing from some of the sleep companies to go right into the tables and pull information out and feed it directly in. The idea of communicating with the database via importing word reports generated from each patient seems like an awkward way to do it.
