The differential diagnosis of narcolepsy, cataplexy and other sleep disorders would be help in our practice. We are not interested in diagnosing apnea problems. Is there a set-up that would be specific to these disorders?

I know this is an old post but......I think one can be related to the other, so if you don't test for everything INCLUDING sleep apnea, than you are missing the bigger picture. And basically what you're saying is that if a pt. has an RDI of 300 that's ok because if he/she has a narcoleptic effect during the day, then you're just gonna treat them for narcolepsy. This makes no sense at all. If you work in a place that wants to do this, my advice is to look for another job.
