APT Officers

Postby fanofcart » Sat Jun 07, 2003 10:51 am

Didn't make it to the APT meeting in Chicago, so can anyone tell me who the newly elected APT officers and board members are?
Do we have a non-credentialed practitioner now serving as an APT officer??

Now now now we're not supposed to say that. /sarcasm
It does seem odd to me that an officer can't take a written exam. Hey I've got test anxiety but I made it through written and oral boards. And I'm a nobody in this field.

Bobzzz,
It really is pretty easy to become someone. Just volunteer some of your time and soon you will be meeting the board and be thanked at meetings. Simply offer to help any committee of the APT. If you passed the "old style" RPSGT exam with the two written and one clinical performance section, you can easily help out.

I think you would be amazed at the results of minimal volunteerism.

Rick,

You are most correct in that volunteering to help groups in need can achieve amazing results. But that misses the point of this thread which is asking if we once again have a non-registered person serving on the board.

APT Board Election Results

Postby sleepstudy » Fri Jun 13, 2003 2:44 pm

The newest Board Member from the recent election is Laura Linley, RPSGT who was elected by the members as Director-At-Large.

Regarding non-RPSGT Board Members, their is one and she has been extremely active for many years and was elected by the APT Members based on her skill-set in media and in sleep. Her primary responsiblities are Editing the A2Zzz Magazine and extremely active in the Legislative Action procedures. She has dedicated much of her time to areas that seem difficult to obtain volunteers who are able to provide the extensive number of hours needed in the particular arenas.
