any presentation that is done on the weekends..beware...it must specifically say it gives CEC's... call them and ask before paying I learned that one the hard way... sat in classes all day sunday to find out that i got a big fat ZEROOOOOO...

a gaurentee for CEC's is thru the AAST classes of general assembly, usually they are 1 credit per hour... depending on how many classes you take you can get that many credits....

GO TO THE AAST WEBSITE AND LOOKY THERE!

Is the Hyatt the main AAST hotel? Meaning I should try for a room there for more fun while at the conference?
Should we try to schedule a meet up for "Sleep Binarians" somewhere, sometime?

Andrew has stated his intention on going. Dunno if he is fully committed yet due to work issues, but he is a solid "I'm pretty sure".

And yes, we need a Binary night.

And Rick, if your expense account will cover you to stay at a $170 a night hotel, knock yourself out buddy. Me myself, will like be enjoying lower cost accomodations.

Considering SAT is only 45 minutes away... Binary night would be cool

SCNV, well, it is part of my job to attend this function. Someone else actually decides where I stay. And the AASM will tell us where to go, in a heartbeat. In Salt Lake City they put all "Vendors" out at the Embassy suites, about 15 blocks, the long way, from the convention center and AAST hotel where Blues Night was, lot of walking that year.

Rick - please know that that was said COMPLETELY tongue in cheek. 2005 meeting, in Denver I was working for a company that brought in about 2 dozen people and put us all up at the main hotel (can't remember the name) at like $200 a night for 5 nights. Everyone got their own room, no doubling up. Was great. Can't imagine why they went bankrupt though.

This will be my first year to attend any form of big meeting. AASTs website says that you can earn up to 26.5 CEC's for the meeting. It does not that you do not have a sign in sheet in order to receive the CECs as well. I will be checking out the Management lecture on Sunday and those do offer 1.5 CECs. I'm just confused on where I can get all the other one's!! It is pretty expense for all of this and my compnay does not reimburse me for this and I'm the Director!! So, for all of you that have done this before, can you give me pointers on the best classes to sign up for and how many CEC's I can get out of this trip? I want to make it worth the money!!

the AAST will give you the CEU by having you log onto a website and then you will have to choose the classes you took and answer some questions and then they will issue the credits... you dont sign into classes anymore...
