CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF FIRST COAST / FLORIDA MEDICARE IS REIMBURSING CODE 95806 - HOME SLEEP STUDIES? IF SO, ARE YOU BILLING THAT THE LOCATION IS IN OFFICE OR AT HOME? DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT A CHANGE IN LCD BY CMS/FIRST COAST THAT GOES INTO EFFECT JUNE TO NOT COVER HOME SLEEP STUDIES? THANKS

I think I just have a coder/auditor that doesn't know what she is talking about, because after all the hoo-ha over the years, if they had made this 180 we would ALL know and be talking about it.

95806 is not a reimbursable code under current Florida LCD. G0398, G0399, or G400 is the correct code. It pays less than 95806, but it does pay. Reference LCD L29949.

Place of service is 'office' if you provide the equipment to the patient in the office. If someone is going to the patient's home to provide equipment, then the place of service is 'home.'
