Which Level 3 device do you like or don't like

Postby Sunshine Sketches » Wed Feb 11, 2015 12:58 pm

We have been using Embletta X10 for many years but are looking to purchase a new HST device. Do you have a favourite device? Or one you really don't like using? Your opinions will be helpful in our decision.

Have used embletta gold which was great but we had problems with the batteries so it had to go. Now use Nox T3 which is really nice to use and it can also record audio which is very helpful

Using ApneaLink Air for the price. It has cloud based data management, which is great, but its a little too simple and we like the software better. Anyone know the pricing of T3 off hand?

Ok, does anyone know if the NOX software allows exporting to EDF?

We use the ApneaLink Plus. I cannot remember how much we paid for it. We were considering the Embletta Gold; I saw the issue with batteries, any other issues Embletta Gold users have noticed?

We switched to ApneaLink Air. We export to EDF and score in Profusion. We used to use Somte, but it was too difficult for techs and patients to use. Caused too much stress. ApneaLink Air is very easy.
We lease. Upgrade as we go.

Bumping this topic.... I am looking at puchasing a good number of Type III devices. These will not be picked up in the lab, but rather mailed out to patients, so they need to be easy to use. I see the ResMed ApneaLink Air still has a good price point - has anyone experienced any problems with it?

What device do you recommend using, or not using at this point? (This topic is over a year old, so things may have changed.)

Thanks!

We use the Resmed ApneaLink Air. We started out leasing it. We were using Somte as we have Compumedics, but the staff and the patients found it to be too complicated to use. ApneaLink Air is easy and we export it as EDF into Compumedics to score.
We leased because we don't want to be wedded to one device, if something else were to come out thats' better. Now after three years, if you don't upgrade you own it.
We have had only one problem in the begining ,but under the leasing program it was replaced immediately at no cost. No problems since.
